Dialing in a push fit with our CNC router.

As part of our own work for our own products we regularly have tasks that take a little time but once established means no problems down the line.

This post is about how we can adjust routed rebates/recesses or to us pockets so that a component fits in just right, every time.

With our experience we usually get the fit we need within a few alterations from a starting point that we get from measuring with digital callipers.

As an example we might start at 50mm diameter and dial in a large or smaller diameter 0.01mm at a time until the fit is what we or our clients desire.
